Why CEO?

CEO was founded to fill a need in the personal care of the Small Business Market in Southern California. We rely on your successful transactions and post-sale satisfaction to fuel our future.

Steve Peters left the large corporate "Eight Hundred Pound Gorilla" to get away from slow and impersonal decision making processes. As an independent company, we focus on you, the client, to ensure your personal and business needs are met. Customer Service is an endangered species in the business world today, and we are working hard to restore faith in that concept.

CEO is an independent company with no royalties, franchise fees, or strict rules to prevent anyone, regardless of size, from realizing the benefits of our services. Through our network of affiliates and other partner brokerages, we are able to offer the same scope of inventory as the franchise companies, but with the personal touch of a small company.

CEO Business Brokerage is an active member of CABB (California Association of Business Brokers), and strictly adheres to their code of ethics. This also provides co-broker opportunities as well as ongoing training for us and our agents. CEO is the chair of the Inland Empire Sub-Chapter of CABB, and is active with promoting cooperation among brokers.

Steve Peters, President

Experience - I have been in Professional Sales and Sales Management with such companies as Eaton Corporation and Omron USA since 1992. I have started three businesses and have been a sounding board for many Entrepreneurs striving to achieve their own dreams. I currently sit on the Board of Directors of a Furniture Retail business and I am an active consultant for a manufacturer of construction products.

Education - I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas where my studies focused on Electronics and Semiconductor Fabrication. After several years of work experience, I earned an MBA from the University of Southern California with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship. In 2005, I attended the Columbia University Emerging Leaders program in New York where I sharpened my Negotiation Skills.

Philosophy - I enjoy helping people, especially the entrepreneur. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing someone "make it" and knowing that I had a hand in that success. I also feel that Customer Service has lost importance in the business world, so I stress the importance of taking great care of the Buyers and Sellers that I represent.

In my spare time, I manage a travel baseball team for the Corona Heat. It is a fantastic feeling to have a hand in the personal and athletic development of local kids.

Marilyn Peters, Vice-President

Experience - I spent 20 years in retail and retail management. Eight years were with Nordstrom Department Stores in Seattle, Washington, where superior customer service is known worldwide. After leaving Nordstrom's, I began a start-up ladies retail business in the golf industry. When my son was born, I shifted to a direct sales company to manage my own time. Within two years I became the top 10% in sales and learned the immense satisfaction gained from helping others work towards achieving their dreams.

Today I share my time donating free counseling to small businesses as a SCORE counselor, advisory board member to Inspire Lifeskills, a program that helps emancipated foster Youth transition to Adulthood and a board member for the Corona Heat Baseball Club, a travel baseball program for boys ages 10-13.

What I feel I bring to CEO is the compassion to help others become successful in any endeavor they are reaching for.
